How much do card readers charge at conventions?
Many mobile card readers charge a percentage of each sale plus sometimes a fixed fee per transaction, often around 2.6% to 3.5%. Rates change, so enter your own processor's current rate.
Should I raise prices to cover card fees?
Some sellers round prices up slightly or set a small card minimum. This calculator shows the price you would need to keep the same take-home after fees. Check local rules and your processor's terms before adding a surcharge.
How do I estimate fees for a whole show?
Enter your expected sales total, the share you expect paid by card, your average sale size and your rate. The calculator estimates the number of card sales and total fees.
